I have some nice twisty roads close to home and have the luxury of not having to travel far to find some nice rides. There was a small patch of pavement next to this road so I decided to take a couple of pics. The very next day when I was riding home from work I decided to go a few extra miles aand take this same road home.
When I approached this area a police officer had me and the traffic behind me stop. He was on a phone. He then approached me...My heart rate went up...I was thinking...I wasn't travelling that fast!
He told me that a car had went off the road and they were measuring for skid marks. WHEW!!
When he finally let us pass, I was going down the hill and the car went off about 100 feet infront of where I snapped these pics. [/url]
Great pictures.. ...Big screen.. ..(..I mean 'really' big screen.. ..)...thanks for the pics.. ..nice looking bike........btw..gees I hate it when cops do that..
Bill Haycock had a screen like that on his red bike. I experienced it riding that bike back from Utah last summer. His was a parabellum. They ARE really big, but if you like to break wind, this is a nice way to do it.
Yes, the screen is a Parabellum and it does a good job with "breaking the wind". It came with the bike and I have grown to like it but am leaning towards the MRA Vario screen as my next screen. Although I must admit that I do like the looks of the screen on DJ's bike.
Boxer, that is a Seargent seat. It also came with the bike and I really do like the way it feels and looks. I can go about 2 hours until the a$$ needs a break. [/b]
Looks like a nice bit of road. I'm also blessed with some great twisties a few minutes from home, but nothing as smooth as that stuff. Must get out and take some shots. I guess we tend to forget what's at the back door.
That breaking wind stuff - Yeah - I laughed at that too!
I ride an R1150GS Adventure with sidecar. IBA #39193
