Anyone using IrfanView?

It's the best photo display/editor out there and it's freeware. Here's an elaborate Tutorial that'll give you a better clue about IrfanView. I share their enthusiasm for this amazing piece of software. I learned new things about it in reading thru it that I wasn't aware of. There's links in my link above to download the latest version 3.99 that's grown to 1MB filesize.

I've been using it for years to handle all my pics and it's 1 of very few programs that can put text in any pic with loads of font, format & text size options.

I think Microsoft's programmers should be punished for the comparatively inferior, functionally limited bloatware they spawned, given the time and money I can imagine they were paid.

I've been limping along with Version 3.95.

You're right; a great file viewer/editor. I recommend it to everybody who asks.

I was first 'exposed' to it back in '98 I think. I used it mostly for viewing image files and kind of stopped using it recently. I rarely edit my image files so the default viewer in XP does what I need it to. I may take a look at some of the extended features it has to offer though.

It is a great program. I should upgrade.

I use it at work. At home, though, I use Photoshop for processing photos.

While on the topic, I recommend a program called Media Monkey for ripping mp3 files from CDs and synchronizing with mp3 players. There is a free version. It works more reliably than other programs I have tried. It will also auto tag your files with album art and other info.

I've tried it, but use VuePrint instead--I find vueprint more intuitive

Does it work with I-Pods?
