Ride Down To Stagecoach Ride-In

Post by Boxer »

In case you might have missed my post about the ride down to the Stagecoach Ride-In...

It was one of the best day rides I've been on in a long time. I got up before daybreak and left at 5:30. Ran by the ATM and got some cash then some gas at QT. After that it was hurry, hurry, hurry down to mid-town to join two other guys and together we made it to just south of Newnan by 7am to pick up the third guy on his R1100RT.
Made it to Stockton, AL by 10:15, then mixed and mingled for some time before heading back after a great meal at the Stagecoach buffett.
It was cloudy all day with some misty conditions periodically, but very warm. I made it home by 7:30pm, about as tired and sore as I've been riding in a while. 700+ miles and 14 hours total, with a two hour lay-over at the Ride-In.

What a great day!

This was a marvel to behold!...

That was a custom built cruiser with a 350CI V8 engine in it, all chromed out. Very nicely made too! I was impressed.

No closet involved. I love Harleys. Almost as much as I love Beemers and Gold Wings. If I had the money, I'd hire someone to tow my Harley along on my motorcycle rides, just so I could switch bikes and look really cool when I got someplace where lots of tattooed womens hung out.

I must admitt, the Heritage Springer I used to have was one of the most comfortable bikes I have owned.
I rode it 450ks to trade it on an R1150GS, and nearly took it back home,
instead of the Beemer.
I would have another Harley if the finances would allow.( as well as my Beemer)
