Throttlemeister Choice

Post by marecycling »

Thank all on board for input regarding Throttlemeister and alternatives. Have decided to go with the Throttlemeister, best deal I could find was California Sport Touring website. I did not realize there were two different sizes. If anyone could share the pros and cons of the different size options, it will help me make the right choice.

IMHO... stick with the smaller size. I actually weighed the stock bar end and compared them with the weight on the Throttle Meisters.

Quite honestly I dont remember the total exact weights, but the smaller one is about 2 oz heavier than the stock bar weights... and the bigger one as I recall, is about 4 oz heavier than the stock weights.

I wanted the same feel as stock, so I stuck with the lighter one. I could not differentiate between the stock bar ends and the smaller Throttle Meister that weighed a bit more than stock.

The heavier one can be used to smooth out vibrations a bit more... that was not a concern to me... and I did not want to reduce steering agility with heavier weights.

Good luck... let us know what you decide!

Btw, as you probably noticed you can also get either the lighter or heavier version in highly polished, and regular finish. The regular, to me, is just fine. You can also get them in black.
