Side Stand Cut-off Switch

Post by Alannc »

Group,

Talk about an irritation. Every time I use my side stand I have to mess around with the wires (with my hand) to get the bike to start.

Has anyone had this problem?...... what did you do to fix it?

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a short or a break. Check the wiring for stripped sheathing and repair or insulate it.

Or the switch has come loose. Whatever it is, you need to fix it. Nothing worse that the bike shutting down half way through a cranked over corner because it 'thinks' the side stand is down!
