Moto GP at Phillip Island

Post by qfman »

Just got back from a thrilling MotoGP at Phillip Island. I had a ticket on the Pit Roof for the only race this season where the riders came in to the pits!

The best part was riding both ways with 15 other guys. The Beemer held it's own for the most part against the sports bikes but there are limits...

Some photos are hosted below:

Yesterday I got on the bike at 7:00am and I got into my garage in Sydney at 11:30pm. Rode 500km over the best roads in Victoria before hitting the freeway for the last 500km. I'm not in a hurry to do that again!

Roll on 2007!

Great pictures Tom...It's a shame we didn't swap Mbl. phone numbers last year..It would have been good to catch up with you again at the Island.

Oh yeah..I still have your card..doh!

That's a great pic of the cop on the side of the road..they're sneekie little blighters aren't they.

I bet you're glad you didn't camp with that brief shower that came out of no where on Sunday..imagine going back to a wet camp site..yukie-poo.

Yep - loved the pit roof village for seeing into the pits but I think next year we will try to get tickets to MG corner - the bikes were hard to see as they went by at 300+ kph !!

Great pics in your story too.

Don't forget - if you're ever in Sydney, my R is yours for the asking.
