New Windscreen

Post by beamer5000 »

After reading all the info and feedback on windscreens, I thought I would share my recent experience purchasing a Touring Windscreen. I bought a 2004 R1150R with a sport windscreen and thought I needed some more protection from the wind around my helmet. (I wear earplugs for the noise) I bought a Cee-Bailey 19.5 European smoke tinted windscreen and put it on the same mounts that the sport screen had. On my first test ride I was very pleased. I like it at 45 miles an hour on the street and like it at 90 miles and hour on the freeway. I like to "tuck in" behind it sometimes just to get away from all the wind and enjoy high speed cruising. IF I ever figure out how to make the pictures small, I will post them. It looks like it belongs on the bike. I hope this helps some of you out there!

I have been extremely interested in putting a Cee Bailey on, now that my wife has been riding with me more and more.

I currently have a BMW Sport Screen on, and while it works great for me, my poor wife (who's 5'11") gets the stuffing knocked out of her.

I would also love to see some pics of your set up.

Shield

Post by B52G »

Bought an 02 in May. It came with some sort of factory screen. Needed more protection. Bought an Aeroflow touring shield. Marked improvement. Pricey, but I enjoy the ride much better. Wife, back seater, says it is a lot better on her too

Interesting Screen name, B52G--I have about 1200 hrs in that make and model.

Aeroflow?

Post by OU812 »

Can we see a pic of the Aeroflow? My BMW tall screen just is not tall enough. I just ordered a Parabellum 23". looks like the one for me :D
