Consider this an open invitation to anyone who wants to come to the SF bay area and ride with me. I love to ride and explore new places and I love to talk about photography so I would be one happy guy!

Tao - I'd love to take you up on that one day! SF is no day trip from San Diego, but one of these days I'm thinking of touring either to Yosemite or Tahoe or both. I'll give you a shout when I do.

I've been thinking about the 5D or 30D as a back-up body for my 1D. The 5D is sweet and nice to not have something so bulky for long rides. Then again, I may hold out a little longer and see if I can get a 1Ds cheap from somewhere ... wishful thinking! Canon will come up with a newer model soon, I'm sure! My problem right now is deciding which lenses to take on the bike (and how to do it safely!) without wishing I'd taken another lens when I get down the road. Of course that means there's two more lenses I still need to buy ...

THANK YOU, TAO

THANK YOU,

your right, it's not the camera... it's the guy behind the shutter!

Some super quick lenses don't hurt either :D
I was dreaming when I wrote this, forgive me if it goes astray...

I just returned from a trip to Yosemite unfortunatley I didn't have my bike but I did have my new DSLR. I am really new to photography but even I was able to get some great pictures there. None were as good as the ones you posted which by the way are fantastic.
