Any X-Monster owners out there?

I am a little stricken with the looks of the Ducati Monster. Have any of you guys or gals owned a Monster and could give me a comparison with the R1150R and the Monster you owned? Acceleration, feel, comfort, fun factor, etc.

I had, until I bought the R1150R a 1994 (First year) Ducati 900 Monster. The bike had several mods, cans, jet kit, K&N filter, steering damper that made it even more of a handfull.

Bike for bike the Ducati is lighter, more flickable, about the same acceleration, better brakes (less weight will play a factor here), greter sex appeal, less comfortable (but I use to do 200 mile rides on the stock seat), requires much more attention (mechanical).

To sun it all the Ducati is better suited to good pavement and short rides, the testosterone department is much higher and so is the maintenance>

The BMW is a more refined bike with excellent manners although it also has it's particuliarities.

I still feel that all in all, my 98 Suzuki Bandit 1200 S is the best all around bike that I have ever owned......
