In a day when they can squeeze the last fraction of hosepower and torque from a motor, install a catalyst system to save the environment, and reduce the weight 50 pounds, you would think they could add a signal cancelling system that is as modern (like only 30 years modern!) as it's competitors machines. I'd tolerate the plastic fluid reservoirs for self-cancelling signals. I know BMW prides itself on being different, but let's get real. Okay, I feel better now.

If I had a bike with self-cancelling signals, I would think should I ride if I can't manage to turn them off on my own. They even put a tell-tell on the dash for you what more do you want?
I nearly got a r1150r last time but got a S4r, now its time to change again I can't wait for it to come out in the UK I hope its before end of year otherwise I will have to have the S4r serviced again then before i p/x.
Looks to me like the front mudgaurd just needs to be about 2" longer to protect the oil cooler. I will be adding some mesh to it as i have done on my S4r.
I love the way the new frame comes around the engine and the tank shape is great, the head light being low is a little wierd, cant wait to see one for real!!!
I don't know why the rockster doesn't need the beaks air flow to the oil coolers but I know I read it in one of the beaksters tech releases when it was new.......that was bmw's answer to "why does it have a beak?" come on .....ya just can't make this stuff up.
