This was from my last ride of the year 2005. One of those rare, sunny crisp VT days that you know may not come again till spring so you better ride now!!! This is the side of VT those coming for the rally from far away may not get to see too often so here ya go-->

This is a local dam just up the road from me.

The reservoir behind the dam. Nice little State Park here to for those into semi-primitive camping.

Bike in front of the dam.

I think this Bromley Ski resort.

Close up of Bromley. Not bad snow for the last day of October!!

Reconstructing my route from that day, I think this is Haystack

Slightly disheartening going down a road with snow on the side of it. If i recall correctly there had been some good dustings a few days before and it was sticking around in the shady spots like this.

I had come down through Bennington and onto Route 9 heading west towards Brattleboro. It was about 4pm at this point and the sun, which had been providing decent warmth along with my leather jacket and sweatshirt, was going down and it was getting downright cold. Notice the lack of a windshield... Pulled in at this turnout to pull the rainjacket out. Worked quite well as a windbreaker and made the rest of the trip at least tolerable.
Hang on for these next three shots!!!!

This is the overlook from Hogback Mountain on Route 9 about 5-6 miles from I-91 the other side of Brattleboro. anyone coming this way in July, this is the worth the side trip for the view and the road to get there!!!
This last one wasnt taken that same trip but you got to be jealous of the people living here that get to see this view everyday!!!

And look what I get running through my backyard!! Took this through a screen window, so no need to adjust your monitors..
