Anyone out there using Fallert Faring?

I recently purchased a 2002 1150R that came with the Fallert faring. I like the look and how it works, but the faring moves/shakes a bit more that I would like. Any ideas/recommendations on how to better secure it other than the 'factory' installation instructions (that are in German!)?

All thoughts and ideas appreciated!! If you have never seen the fallert faring, follow the link below to see it on an 1150R.

Nice-looking fairing! Too bad the instructions are only in German. I have had that happen wih other products and the dictionary doesn't help that much. :-)

I actually have a Fallert fairing, but it's hanging on the garage wall right now. I mounted it las year and after a tial period I decided the windscreen had to be changed out fot it to work for me. The airflow over the top was too low and turbulent. I was in the process of finding someone to make me a taller screen when I got sidetracked. I think that would fix it. It's a great looking fairing. I also noted the shake, which I think could be cured with the addition of a pair of stuts from the lower fairing to the triple tree. The taller factory windscreen, made by MRA, is only 6 cm taller and I don't think it's worth the trouvble. I need 6 INCHES.

Does anyone know how to obtain a Fallert Fairing for the R1150R? I have visited their website and sent them an e-mail but to date have not heard from them. I think this fairing is perfectly styled for the RR. If anyone has ordered from them I would like to know how it is done and what is the cost? And is it prepainted to match the bike?

I have a friend in Germany who is trying to get ahold of someone at Fallert to see if they sell to the US, the cost etc. He too has had a hard time getting them to answer emails and no luck so far on the phone, always busy. If he comes up with any good information, I will post it here.

My friend in Germany finally got ahold of someone at Fallert. They wont sell to U.S. addresses because they don't want the liability incurred with americans trying to sue them or the prospects of selling to an unlicensed rider, is what they told him. Cost of the fairing is 450 Euros, or about $570 at current rates. That does not include shipping to a Europe address and then figure shipping from there to here. Fairings are unpainted.

Too much for this kid

I've been looking into these fairings too. My Mums german, so i was gonna ask her to call them for me. You've saved me the hassle. thanks!
That is pretty expensive isn't it! Still, i guess you get what you pay for. Certainly the best looking fairing i've seen for our bikes IMO.

What's really annoying is that about a week before I agreed to buy my roadster, i spotted one on ebay going for about 100 euros in Germany, but i didn't get it coz i didn't have a bike to put it on. Sods law, isn't it!
