Got my 3rd Tigerstripe from Vines for an absolute STEAL. 04 bike, 5500............ with 12 HUNDRED miles on it.

Been riding to work for 3 weeks or so now and it's great to be back.

Now you have new tackle maybe it is a good idea to ACTUALLY organise a rideout for the London Rocksters???

Guys

Another Rockster's in London ! I've just returned from Singapore with my bronze Rockster. I'm still on Singapore plates which is very useful here. If any of you see me round Kings Road/West London (I wear a black open face lid) please give me a wave.

If the Rockster get together happens I look forward to seeing you all.

Been looking for a Rockster within 30 mile radius of London but used approved numbers have dwindled steadily on BMW's website.

I take this as a good sign that a Rockster's a good buy - all I have to do now is find a (good) one. I'd like either a 'Daktari' zebra or a tiger stripe - as I guess the green ones aren't ripe yet.

It'll be my first BMW after a succession of Hondas - latterly a 2000 VFR 800.

And hi! to Ricey who may remember me from a previous life on Visordown.

In the meantime - thanks for all the FAQs on this board - very helpful and informative.

You can always de-stripe a limey bike and buy a Bagster tank cover (in fact I'd recommend the tank cover whatever.

)

The Rockster is becoming a good buy because they're undervalued (in comparison with the rest of the BM range).

Have just bought an immaculate 80th Anniversary from those nice people at SPC. Unregistered (I'll be first UK owner), previous paperwork shows BMW Germany as proud parents. 1250 km on the clock, which SPC are changing for UK job, together with RHD-ing the headlamp. They're even throwing in panier rails.

Should pick it up next Thursday.

I have a limited edition as well

. Very, very nice looks and even better riding... Anyway, do you happen to know whether BMW HQ is keeping track of its owners? You mentioned un-registered (I know what you mean) but that actually made me think about registering the bike at BMW. You know that only 2003 of this kind have been built. I checked with the dealer from whom the previous owner bought my bike but the friendly lady on the phone was not aware of this. What does your dealer say?

Anyway, I happen to know that only 20 limited editions were allocated to Holland. I saw one once on the highway but I was in my car at the time and couldn't keep up with him. I saw another one in Croatia few weeks ago. Unfortunately, the grumpy German owner wasn't very talkative.
