2007 R1200R??

Post by bimrluvr »

http://rossifumi.46.free.fr/BMW_R1200R_ ... _46_v2.jpg This is an artist's conception from another R1150R website.
Pretty nice, tho' and probably not far off the mark.

From what I've heard from more than several dealers, there will be no more Boxer cylinder Roadsters from BMW. However, Moto Guzzi has taken up the slack with this beauty (I saw one in red)...

Once again BMW has dropped the ball!

The Griso is a better alternative than the Breva.

That '07 is either over filled or low on oil..... :(
What could be better than going on 60 yo on a BMW R1150R going on 60 mph? OK lets not get into that

You mean, *gasp*, BMW motorcycle dealers would intentionally tell an un-truth to a long time customer?

What's this motorcycle world coming too??

Been doing great, turned 63, last March, raced some guys up here on 191 (the devils highway), old 666, they were on tricked out new GSXR1000's, I kept passing them, pulling over while they passed, did that three times in a row  , next Tuesday Arkline will be arriving at my house from Seattle and the next day both of us are off to a big ride to Kerrville to run amock with about 25 riders from the "Cafe" site. Going to the Roadrunner Rally here in Az, Torrey Bash over the Mothers Day weekend, the 49er Rally up in Auburn, Ca. plus a trip or two to have fun at San Jose BMW. Laguna Seca in July. The first week in September, I will be running the new BMW R1200S at Bonneville. The normal squid hunting etc.

My R1200ST now at 18,000 miles is running like a watch and I just bought a Kawasaki KLR650. Darthrider, Colliers and I are planning a border to border ride following the Contential Divide all on dirt roads and trails, prolly for the summer of '07, 2700 miles, about 3 weeks.

Other than that, the normal sedintary life of an old fart.

The newest adult toy.

Could be, BUT the Guzzi Breva is available for sale for '06, while it seems BMW can't decide on a R1200R.

Maybe Dean-O can fill us in on the upcoming R1200R?

Hello there !

I'm also an R1150R rider and moderator on the forum where you got the picture of the R1200R.

I confirm you that the R1200R will be on sale in september this year.

The picture of the R1200R was made by our designer Rossifumi. You can see the whole story here (in french):

http://r1150r.forumactif.com/viewtopic.forum?t=1000

The people of BMW told us the real R1200R will be very different, more sportly.

Hey Marc,

Thanks for posting Rossifumi's rendition and the low down on the R1200R...I hope you keep us updated if you learn anything new.

Much sportier, ay? Maybe they won't muck with the horsepower after all?

All information comes directly from the owner of http://www.moto-station.com
Two years ago i had the information directly from BMW, but a friend there moved to Porsche.

The R1200R should have the engine of the GS.
But that's just a guess.
