Last group ride for the Year !

Post by kbc68 »

Autumn has settled very well in Southern Ontario .
The trees have turned colour many have already lost pretty much all of there leaves, but for today the weather man has gave us good dry forecast with a high of 15C (59F)
I called on some friends for a full day of riding !

Reggie road the 2005 Midnight Black Special Edition Royal Star ( Brand New)
Billy 2002 1100 V-Star
Hugh 2003 Harley Davidson Electro-Glide
Warren 2003 Harley Davidson Road King
Me 2004 BMW R1150R

We were on the road at 8:00am .
It was 6c (42F) and partly cloudy and we were heading north to the Muskokas ( or cottage country ).
We rode for an hour on the main hwy and then we hit the back roads .
Nothing but twisty roads

This pic was taken in Sept gives you an idea what the roads are like!

I decided this would be great opportunity to take some picks of our bikes,
with the gorgeous yellow golden leaves!

Next stop was in town called Bala, were we took some shots of the water

We road to a town called Dorset for lunch
Canadian lunch BEER! (Yes we ate food )

Which one of these clowns do you think rides the BMW !!

After leaving Dorset we road threw the town of Halliburton over to Tory Hill and then twisted our way home !
I was home for supper by 6:00pm
This trip was around a total of 600kms .
I pre- ran this route by my self in September , so I was prepared for take my friends
on some new back roads they never have seen before and a few surprises.
The curves and the landscape which could put a rider to the test if he or she is not prepared.
Billy riding the VStar found that out when thought he could follow me into one of the sharp corners and quickly discovered his floorboard has a tendancy to drag if you lean to sharp!
Which had him swerving into the wrong lane toward the soft shoulder , but he quickly recovered !
Hope you enjoy this
NO i'm not finnished riding until the salters are out !
