Difference between 2004 and 2005?

Post by italr1150r »

Just curious to know, is there any difference between the 2004 and 2005 model year for the r1150r? I own a 2005, my friend wants a new one as well, but likes the titan silver, which I heard they don't offer anymore.

I don't know of any difference other than color.

Maybe the levers are a slightly different shape to help with small hands.

I was at the dealer recently. They have 3-4 05's on the floor. Mine is an 04.

Other than the colours they offer (and black seems top be out of the catalogued line-up!).........I can see no changes.

I did notice that they are shipping with Dunlops or Bridgestone (at least in Canada), whereas mine came with Mez4's

The 04's have 10 more HP, 8 more ftlbs of torque, & are 15 lbs lighter. At least so I've been told.
