fliptop helmet

Post by Acttwo »

Any flip top helmets you guys can recommend? Something light, noise-free, comfortable and compliant with safety standarts..
Dainese Gurrero seemed nice, but I think it is a discontinued model, could not find anywhere..
Any info from you guys is valuable. thnx

I've had the BMW system4 for about four yours now and give it two thumbs up.

The new system5 has just been released...I would go for that one if you can afford it...here's a pic of it.

I'm using an AIROH-helmet for 4 years now and I'm very happy with it.
It's not to noisy, good aerodynamics; even with the front up (I only close the front during heavy rain, or when I'm doing 150 km/h up) and it's not expensive (here in Holland it costs half as much as a BMW system 4).

I have a shoei synchrotec. Dont like it much to be honest. Noisy, dreadful peripheral vision, noisy and I hate the seat belt chin strap release system. My first and probably my last Shoei. More of a heads up than a recommendation, IYSWIM?

I like my Nolan N100E. This is DOT certified, not SNELL, but there is some research out there showing this as a plus. Either way it fits well and works easily for less cost than some of the others.
