Testing the battery

Post by racurley »

Is there a way to easily test the battery voltage with a multimeter without removing the tank?

If you have the accessory outlet on the cover over the starter, you could try there, if you have an outlet that plugs into it .
You could remove a fuse and test it that way as well .

Thanks. I managed to figure that out while staring at the battery out in the garage. Seems like my powerlet adapter has a short in it or something. I had to move the wire around to get a reading. Would explain why the battery tender was not charging the battery I think.
