Broke off my right front turn-signal stalk in a garage tip-over. Have a replacement coming but unsure on how to take off the old one and install the new.

Anyway, I'm unclear about how the wires slip out of the old stalk. Do I have to disassemble and unwire the turn indicator? Please forgive my ignorance, but I'm a total moron when it comes to wrenching.

Just done both the fronts on my Rockster.
Yes, you need to completely disassemble the entire indicator. The wires are a push-fit onto the lamp shroud/reflector part. It's actually pretty easy once you get in there.
