Can't decide, Booster Plug, or Extended Accelerator Module. Same thing? 2013 R1200R

I'm no expert, however, they both read the same; adjusting AFR by changing airbox temperature. Probably set points are different, maybe someone here has tested each. I'm more interested in the why you need this? Is the bike that poor in acceleration or low speed handling?

I have the Compact Accelerator Module on my bike. It's cheaper and does the trick. Shipping time was around 10 days from Europe. The temp probe is largely unnecessary. See this thread on the IICE Air product for an explanation of why. http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=638412 I can verify that the non-temp probe model works well on my bike and is easier to install. Any of the various products with or without temp probe will work well. Not that the fueling is horrible to begin with but the Accelerator Module, Booster Plug or IICE Air is just what you need to improve low speed fueling abruptness and enhance roll on acceleration etc. It's really more of a drivability mod, not a performance mod but roll on power is smoother/enhanced. Let us know which one you choose.

Ordered the compact accelerator module. To answer Newportcycle, no the fueling is not bad for an injected bike, but alittle richer will improve it. Also adding an Akrapovic to open it up. I just prefer to release some potential that lurks under all the restricted bits. I tend to believe the thousands upon thousands of posts that the slight enriching does make a smoother ride. BMW, other than the last K bike I had, does a fair job of fuel delivery and exhaust, but the restictions make their job pretty tough.

instead of a booster plug on my 2011 F650GS twin i bought a similar product from an inmate who makes them on the ADV boards called a Power Controller and am very happy with it. i will be getting another for my R1200R.

I have booster plug on my bike,used it for 2,000mls than disconnected it,to see the difference back and forth.Still disconnected after 4,000mls the plug still sitting on the bike disconnected.In the past 7,000mls learned how to handel the beast,watchig every singel throttle moovement.Today, I don't need the booster plug.No jerky drive anymore,it become smoot.I have had to learn the driving technique of the red beast.Today,wee are in love.A laaasting love.
