R1200R top box

Post by adam4166 »

I have a 2007 R1200R which has the large pannier mountings including luggage grid fitted. Can I fit the larger 49litre top box to this, or do I have to make do with the smaller 28l box?

I have one on my 2011. It required a little work with a file on the top plate of the rack which seems strange as the 28litre fits both R and RT. Also the 28 litre still fits perfectly. Delighted with bigger box - it is so much more accomodating! You can feel the extra weight but it does not affect handling. Only downside is it looks so big on the bike.

I wanted a top case to hold 2 helmets so I transferred the Givi Maxi E55 from my old bike to my new R1200R.
