Attaching a satnav so it doesn't look pants

The simplest solution seems to be to replace one of the bolts that hold the handlebar on with a ball and use a ram mount of a length that allows positioning out of eyeliner to the instruments and adjustable to get the display in shade from the sunshine....this site seems to do everything to do with satnav mounts etc

That's what I did - this is the best pic I've got that shows how my mount is situated. It puts the unit just inside the left switchgear and easy reach. I get some glare every once in a while, but nothing that would require moving it. No tankbag issues either, visibility included. Oh, and the other RAM mount is for a GoPro.

Edit: This may seem obvious, but I replaced the Zumo with the cover plate for transport...

That's what I did - this is the best pic I've got that shows how my mount is situated. It puts the unit just inside the left switchgear and easy reach. I get some glare every once in a while, but nothing that would require moving it. No tankbag issues either, visibility included. Oh, and the other RAM mount is for a GoPro.
