rebuilt suspension and a harley.

Post by razz »

well I sent the rockster's shock's of to be rebuilt, should get them back next week and not having a bike to get to work on, a close freind lent me his brand new harley to use. I have had it for two weeks now and have put 800k's on it and I have to admit, it is very addictive. It's a fat bob with ground pounder pipes, chip and a flash looking filter. Would I get one? NO Can't get my head around forward control's and the handling of a cat forklift. Scrapes to early and doesnt stop. Good fun in a straight line though, and a good freind for lending it till I get mine back!!!

Indeed, only a very good friend would lend his/her H-D.

If the "Motor Company" ever produced a bike equivalent to the Roadster or Rockster, then I would be interested. The Sportster (Buell XB) drivetrain has lots of character and torque for street riding, and just needs a good home: a bike with good handling, <500 lb, >4 gallons fuel, and NOT forward controls! Sadly, the XR1200 is not even close.
