For Anyone Complaining About the Heat at the MOA Rally

Post by rockbottom »

This will be the second Friday in a row in Central Pennsylvania with triple digit heat and high humidity. It seems completely unfair that we get this yet do not have petroleum reserves.

I left Saturday after 6 days in Bloomsburg.

It took till Thursday for my head to completely clear from the heat exhaustion.

so, who is going to Missouri? :)
Freedom is dangerous. Those in power that steal freedom are more dangerous.

Only spent four days in Bloomsburg (in a tent), but I told everyone I wasn't going. At least Missouri is a good stop (for me) on the way to 'Top of the Rockies' in Paonia, Colorado.
Still can't get over all the RVs and bikes coming in on trailers at the National.

It's like Sturgis. My boss goes every year. He used to tow his bike, but this year is shipping it and flying out.

Yeah, but if he rode his Ultra Classic there, it might get dirty.

Talked to someone from Missouri at the MOA Rally he said if there is a heat wave next summer Missouri can be as bad or worse. It will be a last minute decision for me after looking at the weather forecast. Wasn't the weather nice in Wisconsin a few years back.

I lived in the KC area for a while which wasn't far from there and I remember weeks of triple digits.

It's currently upper 90s with thunderstorms coming in Central PA. This is what Basra felt like.

Please tell me what does this have to do with "Topics related to the ownership, maintenance, equipping, operation, and riding of the R1200R."
Which is what forum you as a non-member have started 4 off topic threads on the first page alone.
Please stop cluttering our R1200R specific forum with your General Motorcycle Discussion as it does't belong here.
We all get you're excited about the big MOA rally, you know BMWMOA has a forum too to talk all about how great it was. Here is the MOA Rally forum - http://www.bmwmoa.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=11

May I suggest you take a look at the forum index, read what each forum is supposed to be about, and then post your thoughts in the appropriate place.

Here it is:

Did my buddy Goo come back as someone else?..... at least he doesn't have the CAP LOCKS ON....

Chitown is correct here (I even fell into this a few days ago) - lets try and keep discussions to "Topics related to the ownership, maintenance, equipping, operation, and riding of the R1200R." Thanks folks.
