I'm going to upgrade from stock. I called about Ohlins. I know they are good but the price reflects it. What are the alternatives and what's your impression? I looked at Work's on their website. Not sure what they offer. Wiblers doesn't have an operable site. I'd appreciate your input. Thx, Jon

I don't have till xmas so I was looking for opinions. Is it so hard to give some advice? The time you took to point out my outrageous request was enough to help me out. There are at least 64 pages with 10 or more threads each page. Sometimes its merely the word 'shocks' on it. Hence an experienced opinion was asked for.

I prefer Wilbers to Ohlins. Ohlin's has the brand recognition because of their investments on the racing circuits, but Wilbers are actually custom built to your specifications. Both are completely rebuildable, where Wilbers is built to order, Ohlin's just changes the spring to meet the weight requirement. Try the following website for information: http://hermanusa.com/. Herman is based in Edgewater, FL and is a servicing dealer for Wilbers. Wilber's takes about 4-5 weeks for the build and delivery, but they are considerably less than Ohlin's. When I priced out the shocks with Herman, total cost with tax and install was a bit less than $1,600.00, while the Ohlins were just at $1,700.00 for the shocks, and totaled a bit over $2,000.00 for tax and install.

So you're too lazy to read and instead point the finger at me saying I should have given you my opinion instead? There is plenty of experienced opinion available here and I think it is worthwhile to point out that it gets kinda boring if the same questions are asked over and over again although these have been answered numerous times.

Get yourself a pair of Ohlins if your wallet permits. These are the shocks of choice. Otherwise get yourself a pair of Wilbers. Not bad and way cheaper. I have a rear Ohlins and a front Wilbers and both are working well. Is that enough experienced opinion?
