Well, John..I just finished installing these due to such a high rate of success. Did lots of research and even contacted the racerparts guys for any info they may have. Talked to a Josh I believe and he said he sells alot for BMW motorcycles and said has heard of no issues. He said even racecars use them, FWIW. The OEM disconnects were a little brutish to remove, but over all it was pretty straight forward. I decided to replace the fuel line while I was at it with Goodyear fuel injector line that was available locally. Putting the tank back on tomorrow, and look forward to an easy install. Just gotta get my Motolights figured out. Hope this helps some.

No idea how good these are.
Like a lot of the others here, I've used the ones from beemerboneyard and they've held up nicely.

www.smallparts.com gets you cheaper ones made of brass-they have a toll free if you have questions.
As to OEM clamps being hard to remove- if you insert the correct size small screwdriver into the "pinch" on the OEM clamps & simply twist it back and forth a few times they will not only come off, but can be easily reused by squeezing with a pair of wire cutters at the pinch. I don't reuse them at locations that will possibly require road repairs, such as my relocated external fuel filter, replacing them with SS screw clamps.
