Wunderlich Touring Wellness Handlebars

Post by Xdot »

Anybody have these? I have short arms and find the pressure on my wrists and hands, especially when riding with a large windshield, is uncomfortable. I saw these and wondered how they would do and if they'd adversely affect the handling of the bike.

I put these bars on my 2004 R1150R & They are just what I was looking for, slightly more upright position, Cables both sides need only be rerouted around by the headlight. This was a major scare for awhile. Help from my Airframe/Power plant certified son was a great help over the Easter weekend. Bike handles about the same or maybe even better. Contact me at [email protected] and I can send some pics of the stock bar next to these. The same width they just turn back slightly. I felt the addition of these bars & not adding the set backs to reach this goal a better solution. satisfied with the ride.

I have these bars I bought about 3 months ago and never mounted. They only left the box once for me to look at them. Shortly after I got them, I bought a new bike for touring, and and stripped the R1150R back to its original form (more or less) to use as a run about--or it grieves me to say--sell it . Point is, I have these bars and am putting them up for sale for $100 plus shipping. PM me if you are interested.

I've had these bars for a few years. They do provide a more upright riding position, and are a big relief on the wrists. My only complaint is they are too wide. Sometimes I feel like I'm driving a school bus. At speed, with my arms catch the wind as they are spread wider than what seems right. These bars would be perfect if they were about 2" narrower.

I noticed that at first but got used to it pretty quickly. They are still a bit wider than I prefer but seem to work well enough.
