From Montreal to Tapoco

Post by bikerdudeQC »

As I mentionned last week, I finally stole the time needed to get me & R down Skyline & Blueridge to the Tail of the Dragon.

Appart from the "technical" glitch that I had, it was great. Unfortunately much of the road was so much fun to drive on I didn't want to stop for pictures. However, there were a couple spots that managed to make it on film. The link below will take you to a quick slideshow of the trip.

Most of the pictures are taken along the Blue Ridge Parkway. There are also a couple of the Tail of the Dragon itself. The last one of the bike in front of a Wal-Mart is because I was trying to make light of the fact that I had just blown oil out of the top off the filler hole and onto most of myself, forgetting to close it before I started the engine. I was not happy!

Some of you will also recognise the shot in front of the Tapoco lodge, I was trying to recreate the picture that had been taken at one of the Bashes to comemorate this one man bash!

Hope you enjoy...

Yes, that shot in front of Tapioca Lodge brought back some fond memories from the '04 Bash.

Nice foggy pics of the Blue Ridges.

The big suprise for me was just how hazy it was down there. One of the park brochures said that Visibility is down around 70% over the last 40 years b/c of polution!!!
