Sven,

Pictures of the German Rockster's look great.

I see a few of the bikes have changed their mirrors for K1200RS ones. Does this make a big difference.

As I do not speak German I was unable to fully look at your German site. I am trying to buy a centre stand for my Rockster, do you have a sales section on your site and if so would any of your members have a centre stand for sale (I would need help with the language, if they do).

Regards,
Andrew

Hi Andrew,

its a big different between the mirrors from the original and this one from the K1200RS. You see mutch more in it!

On my german site I have a kategorie for search. So any member kan post a search for something.
But there is no one who sells a centre stand, sorry!

Hi Sven,

Thank you very much for getting back regarding the centre stand, if one does come up for sale I would appreciate you letting me know.

The mirrors look good, do they vibrate as much as the originals.

No, they don`t. The mirror are a little bit greater and you can see more in it.
But we look more to the front to catch the japanesdrivers like Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and so on

Is it just me, but I notice (in the pics that have been posted so far) that Ed 80s generally have few mods. A more comfortable seat is the one I see most often, and a bit more rarely, aftermarket mirrors, maybe a screen; generally stuff that bolts on and off easily.

I hardly see any Ed 80s here with aftermarket pipes, crash bars, extra lights, or engine guards. Is this more of an aesthetic thing? I can't imagine it's to protect the "collectible" value of the bike (which is arguable at best).

on the most part I'd say yes very few have the money or resources to properly mod their bikes, beyond the basic bolt ons

I know as mine took me a quite few months to rebuild from scratch, but also depends what you actually want from your bike
some ppl like stock, (go figure)
things like the hot cam titanium system remove a huge amount of weight & give the bike a very nimble feel, that & a set of ohlins ;)
Ride it like you stole it!!!
