Post by bahill »

So the bikes not with me in Seattle, its down in Greenville awaiting an upcoming ride to Camp Blanding, and an upcoming track day at BMW HQ :D - so cant check myself, and somehow never bothered to look before - but does the '04 come with an accessory port as standard equipment? thinking may throw the electric vest in for the trip! thx

I'm not sure on the '04 but it wasn't on my '02. I had it installed and the dealer quoted me something like $39 but didn't charge me.

My 04 came with one as standard. I'm pretty sure they all did.
I was dreaming when I wrote this, forgive me if it goes astray...

My 04 came with one as well. The Salesman pointed it out when I bought the bike, and said that it was added that year.

Mine's got a power socket down by my left foot (into which I plug my battery charger), but nothing on the dash or handlebars.

No, they were NOT standard. I have two 04's and one came with the socket and one did not. However, even if it doesn't have the socket, they are already wired for it, so you just need to order a socket and install it. Takes five minutes. I think I got my socket from beemerboneyard if my memory serves me.

Ok - maybe not "standard" but fairly likely, seems to be the consensus. many thanks all!
