Quick action throttle?

Post by CRazyCam »

Hi folks.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I did search and found nothing.

Is there a simple way of fitting a quick action (1/4 turn) throttle tube to an R850R?

i was thinking something similar, it you had a friend with a lathe you could easily create a new distro block wheel where the input wheel is smaller than the one going to the two TBs

Thanks for the suggestion, but it sounds a bit complicated for my limited mechanical skills.

I asked about this because I have a Triumph Street Triple, and, for them, you just go to your local Triumph dealer and buy a throttle tube (the actual twist grip) for a Speed Triple. It fits straight in with only cable adjustment required, doesn't cost much and works a treat.

Anyone know if the likes of the Boxer Cup Beemers had quicker throttles?
