Warranty Vehicle Inquiry for BMW R1150R 2004
Just purchased this bike and am new to this and need help.
This bike has been dropped and I'm in the process of repairing it
myself. At the same time i want to fix anything else that might need repairing while I have it torn down. Any help would be appreciated.

Factory warranty is 3 years/36,000 miles from the day of sale. One could buy additional warranty of 2/24,000 that would bring the total to 6/60,000.

What I need is a letter from BMW stating if there were any recalls on this bike and what they were. I live in Canada and the dealer wants five hundred dollars for this letter. If i lived in the USA I could just as the dealer for it. I was hoping someone would have such a letter.
This letter is required also to register the bike in Canada.

I may be wrong on this, so correct me if I am. Can you not just call a random BMW dealer in the US and request the information?

jas is correct, if the bike is US sourced, any recalls can be obtained frm a US dealer with the bikes VIN number.

Yes that is correct but they won t send it to canada or they are not allowed. I need someone to get it for me and forward it to me in canada. That is my problem.
