RCU light mounts for R1150R RCU 05555
Any one using a set of RCU light (RCU 05555) mounts for the R1150R ('04 in my case)? Pictures would be a bonus as I'd like to see how they mount as well as how lights mount to the brackets. Wondering if there is an issue with wind screen being in the way.

I use them but I'm not crazy about the looks of them. There is no issue with windshield clearance. However, I think the windshield weight plus the weight of the brackets and lights makes the headlight shake more.

I have the RCU brackets and am pretty satisfied with them. I use them for PIAA 1100X. These lights fix directly to the underside of the bracket so I have no side bracket coming down as in RDSmith's pictures. No windshield clearance problems (I generally use the OEM touring screen). No headlight shake issues as RD refers, but my lights are light and probably half the size shown here (and I am pretty satisfied with the lights).
Looks-wise they are ok. Since the lights mount to the underside, you have a small shelf with a few pre-drilled holes. I think some people end up mounting a second set of lights although there isn't much room there. I don't notice the "shelf" and it doesn't bother me in any way.
The only thing I didn't like was the cost. While well made and nicely powdercoated, $75 is a lot for two small angle brackets.
