Scratch removal !

Post by Kazushi »

Hi all and Happy New year !!!!!

I just discovered a 40cm long scratch on my tank, the scratch is nail catching deep and the white color of the primer can be seen !

Anyone out there in cyberspace have any experience on removal of such scratches without a full tank paintjob ? some sort of "magic"
kit, stick, something that will perform an acceptable repair ?????

Thanks in advance...

I know of no such "magic" to fix a good scratch. I suppose you could get a small container of the paint from BMW ($$) and try to touch it up using either a very small and fine brush or some type of small applicator. But it will show it as just a "touch up".
Best method is a professional working his "magic". but be prepared to spend some cash.

Good luck!

I don't know exactly where the scratch is on your tank, but many years ago a good friend of mine scratched the tank on his brand new Honda V65 Sabre and he had some fancy pinstriping done to cover the scratch. It cost alot less than having the tank painted and it looked very nice. Just a suggestion.
