ABS problems

Post by wells01 »

Hi
I have a 99 R1100R.
The ABS light are flashing alternately. I used an LED and resistor to get the code out of the ABS ECU which pointed to a bad rear wheel sensor which I replaced.
However I cannot reset the Abs system with the switch and I cannot turn off the ABS with the switch.
Is it possible I might have a faulty switch?
Many thanks

Many thanks for the reply. I disovered the problem was a break in the lead between the ABS switch and the plug.

I have the same problem on my 98 R1100R.

I read somewhere that after battery replacement by Odyssey PC680 this was solved. These batteries are not cheap (approx. 120 USD), but seem to be really good.
