Tall Guy Seat Question

Post by mistral »

What seats are you tall guys using? I am 6'4" and I need to get up some. I have seen some nice seats on bikes on e-bay that look like Rick mayer or something.

If any of you guys have anything custom and you could share a picture that would be great.

Thanks,

Ron

I'm 6'2" and actually I find the stock average height seat with an Airhawk cushion to be perfect. It gives me enough leg room and my knees don't hurt even after 12 hours in the saddle. As an added benefit, I find the slight bump in height puts my helmet in relatively clean air (with the sport screen), which makes riding at speed fairly quiet.

That could be a less expensive and quicker solution to your seat problem.

I too am 6'4 and I had Bill Mayer Saddles make a custom seat, its about 1 inch up and 1 inch back. I have 7000+ miles on it and love it. I also have suburban machinery's lowered pegs. I ground then plenty on track so I may take them off next time I plan to ride on track.
