I also say the BMW touring screen is very good and even though I switched to the Wudo and sold the touring screen I would reccomend it to somebody my height (6' 32.5" Inseam) with the standard saddle.

Same here, 6' 32" inseam, standard seat. I've tried a few but find the BMW touring shield most suitable for me. Sport shield is not effective, CeeBailey 16" was very noisy, CeeBailey 18" is no improvement over the touring screen in terms of wind protection but makes the bike look unattractive IMHO.

Does the touring shield utilize the same mount as the sport shield?

No it doesn't. The touring sheild mount is used for the Cee Bailey windshields though.
I don't know of another windshield that mounts to the sport mount.

Another great New England day today. Finished up my 600 mile breakin today with a breakfast run to western Mass. - all on secondary roads - and dropped it at the dealer for the break-in service. No issues.

Most recent postings are suggesting that the BMW tall shield might not be so bad after all. I went through this whole windshield rig-a-ma-roll 14 years ago when I was shopping for a shield for my naked K75. After researching the whole mess until I was tired of it, I finally ordered the OEM shield, even tho I thought is was butt ugly. (Still do) But, it has worked great and even survived a half dozen falls over the years. So I think BMW does know something about windshield design.

However, I still haven't made up my mind. And I have found the sport shield much more tolerable since I started using ear plugs (which were not needed with Arai helmet, K75 stock muffler, and excellent wind shield).

Yeah, the weather in New England has been great for riding this past week.

I just hit the 2000 mile mark on my new bike, and have been riding with the OEM sport shield. End of the summer I did two trips up to northern VT, and it was ok, as long as I kept my earplugs in...

I plan to get the OEM Tall windshield at some point.

It all depends on your dimensions and your expectations. I found the BMW tall shield unbearable (LOTS of turbulence, and a bug-line mid faceshield) - others - taller people - have found it OK (and I bet their bug-line is around mid neck or lower.)

It's really a case of YMMV.

I have the touring screen and it's fine for me. 5ft6ins , 27inch inside leg and a cuddlesome build.
