Need some saddlebag terminology

Post by Dale_K »

I want to put an ad on craigslist offering to buy a set of BMW R12R saddlebags. What is the BMW terminology for these units and what other BMW models use the same bags?

AKA Luggage, AKA Panniers

Used on the R1200RT, R1200ST also - but usually with painted lids.

There is a BMW shop selling them on Ebay with keys for ~$438 each. Best price I've seen for new ones.

Mark at Chicago BMW Parts (800 262-9150) shipped me new systems cases, a pair of locks and reflectors for about $750 total. Be sure to mention the 20-percent discount.
