A ride to remember, good weather, great company and awesome food!!!

We covered more than 720kms in a day, one comment, the bikers who tailed me

in the dark and when it was raining said that my rockster could hardly be seen, as

the lighting in the dark was so bad........can someone advice me on what to do?

My wife said the same thing to me last year. There's not much to be done about the bike itself, flat black will obviously not reflect light well. But you can do something about you

So a Hi-Viz vest might be a good place to start, if you're not ready to upgrade your suit. I think there are also "stick on" LED lights you can put on your helmet. Otherwise, you'll need to look at LED brake lights and things of that nature.

And if you do get something electric yellow like I did, remember... They still don't see you. Just this evening I was very close to being flattened against a barrier. And to really peg the Irony Meter, I was on my way to a memorial service when it happened.

HI! Wanted to pipe in quickly. Obsessive about being seen with the stupid drivers here in the metro areas. I've installed the HyperLites and have them set up as running lights and flashing brake lights. Friends riding behind me say they are blinding in the daytime and excruciating at night. Husband has them on his bike too and I can attest that they are visible. Have noticed that, on average, drivers generally stop 15+ feet behind me now, rather then kissing my tire like they used to.

Previous owner also attached the US DOT Trailer Tape on the hardbags. It can be found at Walmart and Auto centers in the US. This is a link to the 3M site that gives a little information on it. Or you can just get some light reflective tape. The black is spectacular and displays as bright white when hit by light.

I know...overkill...but I haven't been hit yet. While my husband was rear-ended on his Sportster sitting next to me at the light.
