I can deal with buffeting as I get that already with my touring screen but can deal with that. Nosie is another issue, if it's like the Ztechnik screen then it will be on e bay as with ear plugs it still got to me.

Dave, Should you decide to deal your sport screen ping me, I could be interested if the price is right, thanks, Keith

I'd have one of those if only the price and I knew for sure it works... So you're the official guinea pig now. If your experiences are positive, I have a feeling that the cost will become relative to some members here.

The Wudo has arrived =D> (finally). I will mount tonight and take some photos. Out of the box it looks good so hope the installation goes smooth (spent some of my time at work this afternoon on bablefish translating the instructions) as it's not super simple but we will see  !

Sory for the delay guys, it is mounted and I went for a 160 mile ride today! Took the Ferry from Seattle to Bremmerton and rode up to Port gamble and then the Ferry from Kingston over to Edmonds and back home to Auburn just a great day.

As for the Wudo:

The Fairing mounts with 4 brackets 2 of which are used to move the turn signals out from the original position to make clearance. The Fairing is painted on 1 side only but it still looks very good and mounts solidly although you have to fuss with it a little bit to center it around the headlight. There is a rubber circular gasket that comes with it to take up the gap between the headlight and the fairing but I did not install it yet because they sent no adhesive [-X and I was in a hurry to mount it so I will remove it tommorow and glue it and then re-install it. The winshield was too say the least a chore to install on the fairng and part of the reason it took so long. The folks at Wudo choose not to drill any holes in the fairing and ask the proud new owner to do it :-X so I had to painstakingly drill and mount the windshield to the faring being extremly carefull not to damage any paint and get the shield in the correct position!!!!!!!!!! Not being a person of patience this was very trying but it turned out great even though those morons also sent no mounting hardware for the windshield either so I had to go out and get rubber washers, screws, nylock nuts etc. to mount it. The windshield itself is a little thin but I think that's because to shape it around the fairing it needs to be able to flex. Once it's mounted though it's solid and doesn't seem to move at all at least up to the 70 mph or so that I did today.

As far as wind management I can compare it to the 2 BMW screens I have (the BMW sport and touring screens) and the Ztechnick (small Ztechnick, not the mongo version) I tried and sent back (the noise killed me even with ear plugs). I am 6' with a 32.5 inseam and this fairing is the best for wind management of all of them. I am not sure but to me the angle of the screen seems to make it less turbulant than the BMW touring screen and noise was not a problem at all so I was very relieved!!!!! You still get wind on your helmet but it's good clean air. The fairng must help some and will probably be better once I install the gasket. I will post some pictures from today (need to up load then so give me a minute) and then many more tommorow after I remove it and install the gasket and then re-mount it.

Here is a quick picture now (I know the picture sucks, sorry) the rest will come tomorow after the Bears pulverize the Seahawks :D

Best looking solution I have seen yet, IMHO. Glad to hear it works for you and the wind protection is superior to other shields you have tried. The bitter medicine: for $800 I'd expect to not read about missing hardware and having to drill holes. Looking forward to more pics.

Well it's about time!

JK Dave, it looks great. Your selfless martyrdom is an inspiration to us all. When will you be allowed to sleep inside again? lol

Does it have any built in storage compartments?

Enjoy it! And keep us posted on your long-term satisfaction...

Peter

Wow Dave, that looks terrific. Is it just my eyes, or does the shield on the white Wudo bike appear to have a subtle lip/re-curve at the top edge? In the photos of your shield it appears straight; I wonder if Wudo made a change. Could you measure the distance from the rear edge of the screen vertically down to whatever point on the bike is below? I'm curious how high the Wudo screen is and how far rearward it extends. Thanks for that when you get a chance, for your report and your courage to be first.

John, I think what you think is a slight curve is actually some edgeing that I chose not to install as I don't want to glue anything to the windshield and am fine without it. The shield extends 12.5" in height above the top center of the handlebar. They must have made some changes though as my screen had 6 holes for mounting and the white screen appears to have 8.
