In the R1150R to Prudhoe Bay thread I was asking/talking about how to turn off ABS on the R, found some people who had wired a switched relay in line with power to the pump to turn ABS off and on "on the fly". That thread is here: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=18005
I was reading through the ADV Hall of Wisdom today and found an article from the IBMWR guys about wiring your ABS system directly to the battery so as to avoid ABS startup problems with a low battery. That article is here: http://advwisdom.hogranch.com/Wisdom/AB ... ge_Fix.htm
What is interesting in this is the wiring diagram of the ABS connector...which is too big to display here, but could allow you to wire what the ABS would think was the 'ABS' button on GS's into the system, allowing you to turn off ABS at startup like the GS's can do. This is all for ABS-II...wonder how the wiring connector changed with ABS-3.
