Importing a motorcycle to Canada from Europe ?

Hi all,
Does anyone have any experience with importing motorcycles to Canada from Europe ?
There's tons of info for importing from US to CND but not Europe...

After reading posts in many blogs, there's supposed to be a list of motorcycles
that don't require conversion or modification to be VIN compliant... I've been trying
to locate this list unsuccessfully... Does anyone know if the German 2003 R (ABS model) is
compliant ???? or modifications are required ????

The Registrar of Imported Vehicles (RIV) will be able to advise you if that particular model is compliant or not. RIV is a division of Transport Canada.

I know that all models of BMW motorcycles are importable to Canada from the U.S. My guess is that the European models would be the same, but you need to make sure through RIV, before you import!
