NO IGNIION LIGHTS OR ANY THINK HELP PLEASE

Hi There (new to this) :?
Iv have had my 1100RT 96 a for 8 weeks and went to start it this morning and put key in and nothink not a bean :( Not had any problems befor this ,its been a dream.Hoping its not going to turn in to a nightmare :evil: .Checket battery fine (but still but it on charge for a few short time.but the battry back on and again nothink,No light ,side or ignition not a sign of life at all .so i checket all the fuses and thay were ok ,so where do i start ,please help .

If you've confirmed that the battery is charged, I'd be looking at the ignition switch.

I bet your wires are crimped...look at the wires that is going thru your headlight...on the left side. We have alot of reports of the zip tie was too tight

Hi there and thanks for your input.
Well £65 for new ingniton switch and wireing and can not find anythink wrong
with the wiring looks like i will have to have a closer look.Or get a new wiring loom
Have taken most of the panels off now and it looks likes its been choppet about a bit
.Some of the connections are very bad ,but have cleaned them up and recrimpt some.
But she is still dead.
She does look sad all bear :( .But im sure with help from guys like you i will
get there.

My 2000 R did the same thing and I found a wire at the stearing head that was streched. It was broke inside but looked fine outside. Also found that the positive line from the battery was the same way. If I turned the handlebars one way the wire pulled apart and the bike would not start.

Myself i would be putting a multimeter on the amps scale positive lead
and seeing if it is a short circuit first or a blown fuse from such...
things as a shorted alternator diode or regulator will do it,
next step, parallel wire substitution additions, not for the inexperienced.
