Being a traditionalist or an old fuddy duddy (whichever) when asked what color I wanted for the seat I would have picked black. Looking at your photos however I can't help but think what a beautiful thing that is.
If at the dealership a choice of stock seat or good leather seat for $500 extra were an option.... I wish that it was.

Sounds Good Too Me.

Now If I wanted to upgrade, but wanted to keep my stock seat, what would be the best way to get an additional stock seat.
I like to keep originals just in case something goes wrong. More money in the end.

The cheapest way to get an additional stock seat to send to Rick MAyer after I receive my new seat.
Rick Mayer wants a replacement pan I beleive.

Ebay would be a good place to look. Sometimes on our own Buy-Sell-Trade forum on this site. I thought about selling my stock seat but changed my mind because you never know.

I bought a stock seat from the Buy and Sell on this forum for the specific purpose of sending it to a seat maker so I wouldn't be without a bike. As I recall, it was reasonably cheap.
