PS This bike just ROCKS. At 5000km and 3/12 its getting better. Seriously ,is it unnatural to love an inanimate object?...perhaps this Q should remain rhetorical.

tank protection
Hi , wondering if anyone has a thought about tank pads for the side where the knees hug in. Spent so long on the bike this weekend I think I'm wearing the paint with my knees.
.Do the 1200Rt pads fit and are they easily available?

Your bad choice,no one else to blame.
Re: tank protection
I have seen some available through Wunderlich. They look nice, but are probably quite pricey. If you look around, you might find them cheaper through another distributer...

Re: tank protection
I have the same paint concern and love/lust relationship too. The carbon protectors cover the rear of the tank from a jacket contact, but I am still looking at various side protection offerings. I keep her well waxed for now and plan on looking at other bikes at some of the upcoming rally events. I have used rubber, carbon and clear overlays with good results in the past and I just want a good looking product for the r.
