Gasoline quality and ethanol
Personally I am going out of my way to fill up with gasoline free of ethanol. At least that what I hope when a station does not show a sign : "Up to 10% Ethanol may have been added". Since the ethanol is added at the station one could get a lot more than 10% if one is unlucky and fills up right after a load of gas and ethanol has been delivered. Besides mileage and run ability suffers and who knows what it does to air quality. At least this is my experience. Any comments?

I doubt very much if you can rely on the signs to tell you when you're not getting ethanol. Some states have not had or removed the requirement for the sign, other states allow stations to just put them on one pump when all the pumps have ethanol.
Fact of life - we are gonna get that crap sooner or later. The only way to stop it is political, so you may want to start writing your representatives and hope enough email/mail might counter ADM (Archer-Daniels-Midland) a bit now that power has changed in WDC.
