Again, a bit hard to see, but if you compare the trailing edge with the bikes' fork tubes you can see that his screen is farther back. I think this may play an important part in the smooth air and lack of turbulence. I'm not convinced yet but I am gonna contact Parabellum this week. RonR did mention a significant production time maybe exceeding two months...
BWTM! I'm whizzing down the giant freeway heading home and I hear a high pitched whine for a moment. Then the back end goes wiggly and I realize I've got a flat. Amazingly I've got a clear vector from the carpool lane all the way to the shoulder so over I go. I end up in a pretty safe spot just past an on-ramp so I'm not going to get clobbered by passing cars. I try the cellphone to contact BMW roadside service (actually I tried the dealer since I didn't have the number) but the noise was deafening due to the soundwall. I stroll down about 50 yards to the end of the wall and stand just off the on-ramp in the shade of some trees since I was getting a bit warm. Just as I get my dealer on the phone a guy pulls up in an off-road Jeep and says he'll fix my flat! He was headed north on the other side of the freeway, saw my wiggly move to the shoulder and realized what was up so he got off the frwy, spun around and got back on going south to find me! He pulls ahead of the bike, hops out with a plug kit, and explains that he's an offroad moto rider and is always getting flats. We find the screw hole, he plugs it then unrolls an air hose and plugs it into a fitting on his back bumper. HE'S GOT ONBOARD AIR!!!! Lickety split, tire is fixed and full of air, guy packs up, says his name is Jerry and he's just glad to help out, and off he goes. I'm back on the bike and down the road. Total elapsed time is probably less than ten minutes. I didn't even have time to take a pic of sad me on the shoulder of the freeway. Totally awesome! That put a smile on my face that is going to last for a while.
Yes, I know, it will probably last until I have the tire checked at the dealer and they tell me that it should be replaced for $$$ even though it has less than 2K miles.
