Aerosol spray can straws in bulk? Anyone

Post by hotzuk »

Okay,

This absolutely drives me mad. Everyone knows those little red aerosol spray can straws that come on the cans of brake cleaner fluid, WD-40, etc..... Well, I always seem to lose them and was trying to find a place that sells them in bulk. Say like a pack of 25 or 50 just to have in the shop. My google search attempts have turned up zero. If anyone could hook me up with a link or if you are sitting on a stock that you are willing to ship my way give me a buzz. As usual, thanks for any help gan.

If you wander into AutoZone one afternoon when they are very busy...and just casually walk down the aisles...maybe doing some fake whistling....and then when you know you are not being observed, pick up a new can of something and pretend you are reading the label, while stealthily sliding the little red tube from the side of the can and palming it. With practice, you can collect two or three every visit. Good luck!

Try those skinny little coffee stirrer straws at a coffee shop, at work, or a convenience store.

Phil.....I'm shocked at your suggestion.....go to ypur room....NOW!!!!

I would recomend that you chain....with 10 feet of 3/8" chain.....the straw to the can, that solves the problem. Besides, it would be easy to find the can with the chain attached to it.......

Very funny stuff gang but it amazes me how no one has been able to track this item down. I find it so strange that no one sells them in some sort of bulk or small bulk pack for consumers. Well, looks like I will have to make multiple trips to me local Autozone :) :)

1--Save the old ones. (duh!!)
2--Cut the new ones in half and store the unused half. It still works OK (sometimes better) with the shorter pipe -and- it's less likely to get knocked off the sprayhead in storage.

I am not surprised. The corporations are happy to sell you that straw... for $4.59 (or $8.37, etc.). It comes with a full can of the same stuff that's just about filled up the can you have in your garage. :?

While probably not at conspiracy levels, I'm sure the straw suppliers are "strongly encouraged" not to sell their product on the open market. And why would they: $3 Million/year guaranteed income from WD-40, or maybe $100K/yr selling to Lowes/HD/etc to satisfy the "cheap bastard" market like me and hotzuk.

Choose your most hated of corporate entities to "liberate" said straws, and practice your evil laughter for the drive home: BWAHAHAHAHA!!!

I bought a few of those years ago, but I still manage to lose the straws. I would imagine that there isn't enough demand to warrant making them available to the retail world. Maybe check at Harbor Freight stores?
