My wife decided I had too many toys and something had to go!
I didn't put up too much of a fight because I don't seem to be able to find the time to use them!
Any how the R1150R was the last thing I put for sale and it sold first!
I was not a happy camper! The guy who bought was riding a Honda ST1300!
When he got home he called me and said what a fun bike the RR was to ride! Al ot more fun than his Honda!
I couldn't stand being without a bike and called the dealer and bought a new R1200R !
I want to add a battery charger and GS hand guards!
Any idea how much I should pay for these or should I just look afermarket for them!
Thanks John
I did it!

Re: I did it!
I just paid 149 for the 08 GS handguards from Chicago BMW, I waited 2 months for them and they had to be modified a little but look and work great!

A friend of mine would like to install the the 08 GS handguards, but, before to do so, he would like to have a look to the job done.
Thanks in advance.
Re: I did it!
Should i buy the BMW battery charger or just get an aftermarket trickle charger?
I think they said it would be $170 for the charger!

Re: I did it!
The service guys at my dealer said there is no need for the expensive canbus BMW charger. One of the things they do standard however is to disconnect the powerlet outlet fro mthe canbus system so it runs direct to the battery. That seems like a great idea to me.

Re: I did it!
I spoke with the service department and they suggested we go with a 2nd outlet connected direct to the battery!
I also ordered the Vstream windscreen!
Hopefully I'll pick up the bike this week as I'm running out of riding weather.

Re: I did it!
I kind of lost it with my dealer.
Last week when I decided to go ahead and get the bike the dealer said I would need a deposit ASAP to get the bike ready for last weekend.
I said no problem but I wouldn't need the bike till this week anyway cause I was away on a trip!
I send an email today asking if the bike would be ready for this week and the reply was maybe!
I lost it and sent a reply telling them if the bike is not ready by Friday I will cancel the order!
Am I over reacting and what in the hell is taking so long to get this bike ready?
