Help with jacket

Post by sandycruz »

I just scored a great jacket. An Olympia Voyager in "burn your eyes out florescent red". Looks to be a great jacket for the coming winter chills. And got a great deal at MotorGear Outlet; basically half price. Fits me very well, short guy with a short body. The AST was just too long.

So I'm trying on the jacket, and I'm having a hard time with the sleeves/armor fitting around my elbow. Whoa, the armor is mostly around the upper part of my arm, not much at the underside of the elbow. This can't be right.

Any one here have experience with AST jackets? Does the armor ride to the outside of the elbow? Is this normal? Am I missing something here?

Thanks!

Armor should be between elbows and jacket exterior shell so if you fall the armor helps protect you.

Make sure the inside of the sleeve isn't twisted around. Also, many jackets have removable armor pads to facilitate cleaning, so the pads/armor may not be installed properly.

I've removed the protection from my goreTex jacket and use a protection jacket instead.
